How it works

1. Build a spine. Answer a few questions, or paste a brief or notes, and add any files you have. SpineVault writes a small folder of plain-text files: your project's current state, what's decided, what's open, and how you want the work done. A few minutes.
2. Give it to your AI. Attach the spine to whichever AI you use — as the zip, or as one plain-text file if your AI won't take a zip — and say "Open the attached spine and follow it." It reads your project the way you'd brief a new colleague, and works from it.
3. Bring the work back. Say "close the spine." The AI hands back one file. Bring it back here, with your zip. SpineVault shows you what changed, line by line; you approve what you want, and it seals the next version. Nothing changes without you.

What you keep

A zip of plain-text files — readable in any editor, checkable by anyone, yours. Not locked in a chat window, and not in our database. SpineVault holds your files for two hours at most — long enough to download them, or for your AI to work with them — then keeps no copy. Your account is your email address, when you made it, and when you last signed in.

Who it's for

Anyone whose project outlives a chat: a product in development, a research program, a lab notebook, a plan, a book. Built-in AI memory remembers you. A spine remembers the work — and it leaves with you. So you can change models — for a skill, a price, a better answer — without starting over. Works with the AI you already use: tested with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Kimi.

SpineVault will be a paid subscription. Accounts are free during the beta, and everyone who joins during the beta gets an early-adopter discount when we launch.
